FIGHT TRADERS 5 QUESTIONS:

When did you start training in MMA?
2004… I was already fighting since about 2002 but didn’t start training till 2004.

What made you want to become a fighter?
I was winning without training so I figured maybe I had some talent. It started off as just fun but I knew if I wanted to pursue it I would have to take it serious. I didn’t have anything else going for me, crappy job, in and out of jail, drug problems, etc. so I went to a gym and realized I sucked. the rest is history.

What would you tell someone wanting to start a career in MMA?
It depends on their age and situation. If they’re young tell them to wrestle in school and do other martial arts in the offseason. If they’re older tell them to go to a gym and train. It’s pretty simple, it’s just like any other job. If you want to be a lawyer, go to law school, if you want to be a fighter, go to a fight gym.

Who is your favorite fighter?
I don’t have a favorite fighter per se but I have always modeled myself after Wanderlei and Shogun so I would put them at the top of my list of fighters I look up to.

If you couldn’t be a fighter what would you do?
Kill myself… Just kidding, I’d probably still be a personal trainer.
