When did you start training in MMA?
I started training MMA in July of 2009
What made you want to become a fighter?
I was competing in powerlifting on the world level and my friends thought i could use my pure strength and size and put it to use in the cage. Kerry Schall took me under him and has made me what i am today.
What would you tell someone wanting to start a career in MMA?
For some one wanting to start a career in mma, i tell them to get ready to work your butt off, this sport takes alot of time and commitment and if you can not commit to the vigorous training then you should not do it.. because this is a sport you cant half ass.
Who is your favorite fighter?
I am going to have to say my favorite fighter is Fedor how ever the heck you spell his last name.. to go through a career at 31-1 and the one loss due to a doctor stoppage who else can say that.
If you couldn’t be a fighter what would you do?
If i could not be a fighter i think i would return to powerlifting because i just have the need to compete in something.
