Michael Bisping vs. Wanderlei Silva
Bisping is back in the cage after winning fight of the night honors defeating Denis Kang. This is sad, but the most memorable moment in Bisping’s career will probably always be the KO by Henderson at UFC 100. He is a great fighter with a well rounded base. It also seems that each time he fights he gets better and better. His standup has improved and he should continue to grow with more experience. Bisping is 18-2 in MMA and has always been on the upper end of the Middleweight Division.
Wanderlei Silva is a champion fighter. He won the Pride Grand Prix in 2003 and the Pride Middleweight champion as well. From 1999 to 2004, Silva won eighteen-straight fights in Pride. Slilva has not had such a great run in the UFC, he is 1-3 in his last 4 UFC fights and 2-5 overall. He is still a young fighter at the age of 33. It’s hard to pinpoint the flaw in his game. It might be fighting in a cage.
This is a tuff fight to pick a winner and reason. If the Silva of old shows up to fight, Bisping will have his hands full and would lose the fight standing. I am not sure who will win this fight but I know one thing that it should be a great fight. I can’t see this fight going past the first round unless Bisping takes down Silva and controls him from the top position.
