Interview with Jeremy Horn
January 18, 2010 by Ray Flores

Jeremy Horn is a veteran of over 100 fights. With a record of 84-19, Jeremy Horn has fought the who’s who in mixed martial arts including Chuck Liddell twice, Nate Marquardt, Forrest Griffin, and Randy Couture just to name a few. Despite being a 13-year veteran, Jeremy still has a burning desire to compete at the highest level.
Fight Trader: Jeremy Horn knows he must bring his best against Victor Moreno.
Jeremy Horn: “Every fight is dangerous. I’m a little more experienced than him. I know he’s going to be dangerous but I think I’m a little better than him on the ground.”
Fight Trader: Gumby as he is often referred to as he knows his growth in mma has been exponential. He remembers the first time he got inside the cage and looks back on his development.
Jeremy Horn:”Obviously I’ve grown a lot. I started off as a grappler not knowing any takedowns, but as the sport has progressed so have I, regarding incorporating boxing, wrestling, and conditioning,” elaborated Horn.
Fight Trader: At 34 years of age, Jeremy Horn continues to fight some of the best light heavyweights around.
Jeremy Horn: “I’ve been pretty lucky with having no injuries. As I get older, my metabolism slows down so I get fatter every year but other than that I’m pretty much the same fighter I was back several years ago, “proclaimed Horn.
Fight Trader: Despite having over 100 fights behind him, Horn still gets a little nervous prior to a fight.
Jeremy Horn: “I always get nervous prior to a fight. If you’re not nervous for a fight that means you don’t care”, said the 34-year old. “You’ve given up on wanting to win. If you’re not nervous something’s wrong. “
Jeremy Horn continued in his quest towards getting back to the UFC as he beat Victor Moreno down in Tulsa, Oklahoma last Saturday. Check out gofightlive.com, and you can see the event on pay-per-view. He also runs his own gym in Utah, and you can visit it at www.eliteperformancegym.com. There he trains some of the best up and coming talent including UFC lightweight Demarques Johnson. Make no mistake before it’s all said and done; expect to see Jeremy Horn back in the octagon at least one more time.
